Women of Distinction Awards & Scholarship Dinner
Join us for an elegant evening celebrating exceptional women at the Women of Distinction Awards & Scholarship Dinner!
The Women of Distinction Awards is a program that has been sponsored by the Professional Women of the Finger Lakes for more than 20 years. The awards recognize, encourage, and celebrate outstanding women who have made a significant impact and demonstrated excellence in the areas of Entrepreneurial Achievement, Professional Achievement, Volunteer Service, or Women Helping Women.
Additionally, we will be awarding our 2026 scholarships! PWFL awards scholarships annually to women in Ontario County that are graduating from high school and pursuing higher education and those over age 25 pursuing further education after a break of one or more years.

Middle Finger 5K
PWFL members are invited to participate in the Middle Finger 5K hosted by Thrive to Survive in Geneva on Saturday, May 9, 2026. PWFL members can register at a special $10 rate using this link: Register here. Join the event to support local adults facing cancer and enjoy a fun, community-focused 5K.

Women of Woodcliff
We are excited to invite you to a special evening celebrating women in the workplace at our second event of 2026 for the Professional Women of the Finger Lakes. Please join us on Tuesday, March 18, from 5:00–7:00 PM at The Woodcliff, for an event introducing the “Women of Woodcliff.” This program will highlight the diverse and impressive range of roles women hold across the Woodcliff property.
PWFL Member Tour: Ontario County’s First Family Homeless Shelter
Join Professional Women of the Finger Lakes for a special evening tour of Ontario County’s first family homeless shelter in Canandaigua, hosted by Family Promise of Ontario County. This is a wonderful opportunity to see the progress of this important community initiative, learn more about the vision behind the project, and gain insight into the impact it will have locally.
We hope you’ll join us to connect, learn, and support this meaningful effort in our community.
This is a members-only event. PWFL members must register in advance as spots are limited. Registration will remain open until the event reaches capacity.
Connection & Wellness: Non-Negotiables for Your Health
EVENT FULL! Our first event of 2026, “Non-Negotiables for Your Health,” is happening Wednesday, January 28, and we’d love to see you there. Join us for an engaging evening focused on women’s health and wellness, featuring Amy Jo Bugenhagen, Health and Wellness Director at the Sands Family YMCA, as our guest speaker. This conversation focuses on the foundational principles of a healthy lifestyle. Together, we’ll explore the essential habits and routines that deserve priority in our busy lives—nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress management, and more—and how treating them as “non-negotiables” can support both personal and professional well-being.

Enjoy an evening of movement, mindfulness, and community featuring complimentary beverages, guided wellness experiences, and a sweet treat to close the night. Let’s gather lakeside under the stars for a meaningful cause.
Tickets: $50 per person (100% of proceeds support Operation Making Spirits Bright)
Holiday Cheer
Each year, PWFL donates gifts to families in need in Canandaigua and gets together to wrap, mingle, and celebrate the holiday season! This year we are sponsoring 2 families through Family Promise of Ontario County, and we'll be gathering at Smokin Tails Distillery in Phelps on Dec. 9 from 5–7pm for gift wrapping! We'll provide snacks and the first drink is on us if you bring a gift or donate in any form!

ATHENA Awards Dinner & Silent Auction
Hosted by the Ontario County Chamber of Commerce, PWFL will be running the silent auction at this year’s ATHENA Leadership Awards. For more info on the event, go to: https://www.onchamber.com/athena/.

Member Mingle & ATHENA Set Up
We hope to see you at our Member Mingle! We'll have drinks and snacks and will talk about other upcoming PWFL events and how members can get involved!
While we mingle, we'll sort and set up items for display at the silent auction for this year's ATHENA Leadership Awards. Each year, PWFL partners with the Ontario County Chamber of Commerce to run the silent auction at the event and all proceeds go toward our scholarship fund!
