Committees as defined by the PWFL bylaws.
Membership
This committee is responsible for developing all membership materials (such as the membership packets), maintaining a registry of members, and creating ways to increase membership.
It is the duty of this committee to promote, expand, stabilize and orient the membership of the local organization. This committee is to consist of a chairperson who shall be the second vice president and at least two members. It meets as needed, generally quarterly.
Publicity/PR
This committee is to consist of a chairperson and at least two members. It meets as needed, generally quarterly.
It shall be the duty of the public relations committee to present state and local programs and activities through news media.
Programs
This committee plans all of the meetings and events for the year. Sub-committees include: Christmas Gift Program, Women of Distinction and Business Expo.
Finance
This committee is responsible to prepare an annual budget for the local organization, to have general supervision of all expenditures, fund raising activities and to assist the local organization in developing a sound financial policy. The finance chairperson shall be an ex-officio member, without vote, of all committees which disburse money. The finance committee shall be composed of a chairperson and a minimum of two members. It meets as needed, generally quarterly.
Nominating
This committee is responsible for presenting a slate of one or more nominees for each officer at the annual meeting. This committee is to consist of at least three members, and meets annually.
Scholarship
This committee is responsible to promote, facilitate and administer scholarship monies for deserving women at the high school and college level to provide assistance, recognition and encouragement in their academic and future professional careers. This committee is to consist of a chairperson and at least two members. It meets annually.
Youth
This committee is responsible for the yearly school essay contest as well as any other youth-centered programs.
